National Award Winning Hard Wood Floor in Olathe

Sometimes, designing a hard wood floor can be a little bit like creating a piece of art. That was the case with an award-winning floor design we created for a client in Olathe, KS. Every wood floor SVB installs adds beauty to a room, but this customer wanted something that would add wow to their living room. So not only did we create a custom design, but we used four different types of wood with three distinct colors to create a visual effect that can’t be ignored. Our laser cut design consisted of 2300 individual pieces of red oak, wenge, maple and walnut woven into an intricate diamond shaped geometric pattern.

Olathe Floor Wins Wood Floor of the Year Award

In fact, SVB is the first hardwood floor company in Kansas City to win a national award for wood floor design and installation. This Olathe wood floor design won the Wood Floor of the Year award from the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association). The award was in the category of “Best Living Room/Family Room” (Laser Cut/CNC Cut). There were 142 entries from the U.S., Canada and Russia which featured 19 total awards.
