Summer is a popular season for home remodeling projects in the Kansas City area. We get a lot of customers looking to install new hardwood floors or refinishing their existing ones. This summer, let us help you turn your hardwood dreams into reality. Here are three coveted hardwood-flooring trends that are beautiful and attainable when you partner with SVB Wood Floors.
Character Wood floors
Character floors are a huge trend in the flooring industry right now. They are usually textured, with earthy coloring, and give off a unique feel. Another popular characterized look is reclaimed hardwood floors. Have you torn down an old barn recently? SVB can create beautiful hardwood floors from the leftover wood.
Remodeling your home? SVB installs hardwood floor staircases too. See some of our past projects on our blog.
Wired Brush Distressed
This style of hardwood flooring looks similar to the look of reclaimed wood floors. This technique brushes away the soft portion of the wood to expose the grain. This enhances the definition and character of each plank. Wired brush distressing also makes the wood more durable since the harder portion of the planks become exposed. This is great for homes that have dogs and young kids. SVB experts suggest using the technique on the wood before installation.
Plank Wood Flooring
Plank wood is popular for not only floors right now, but also ceilings and walls, too. It’s natural and earthy look gives off a warm homey feel. We love plank wood floors in lodge-style homes. See great examples of plank wood flooring in our photo gallery under ‘Handcrafted Floors’.
Although we are located in Grandview we do business on both sides of the state line, from Lenexa to Gladstone to Lee’s Summit. Call SVB Wood Floors today to set up a free hardwood floor consultation at, 913-213-5187 or 816-559-84
