Typically, all our flooring undergoes a multiple-step staining process to bring out the beauty of the wood and, in some cases, enhance the craftsmanship of the design or hand tooling. Depending upon the application, our custom-formulated stains may even be hand-applied in our climate-controlled facility prior to delivery.

Hand scraped flooring

Hand scraped flooring provides a truly unique floor with variations in texture that cannot be replicated in a factory. Each and every board is hand scraped by our skilled artisans or by Amish craftsment. This ensures that no two boards are ever alike. Wide plank, long length, slight scraping or heavy hand-tooling: the combinations are endless and the choice is entirely yours. True hand scraped flooring allows the customer to dictate the type of wood, plank widths, lengths, and - of course - level of scraping and hand finishing they desire to recapture old-world charm and provide results which are unsurpassed in terms of quality, uniqueness, and beauty.

Distressed flooring

We provide a wide range of higher quality factory-distressed pre-finished flooring that emulates some of the features of a hand scraped floor. The levels of distressing, such as: denting, scooping, and roughing varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, but the result is a beautiful floor that looks aged without the increased turn around time or cost of hand scraped flooring.

Medallions, inlays, and design motifs

It's no surprise that hardwood floors are the first choice in flooring for designers. In addition to the multitude of combinations available with the various types, or mixes, of woods, stains, installation styles, patterns, and more a large number of decorative accessories are also available to further enhance hardwood flooring. Borders, custom inlays and medallions, and other design motifs can easily - and economically - be added to any existing or new floor.
